FAQ
Questions, answered plainly.
For artists
What do I get for a credit?
A real listen and a written review from one curator, inside 72 hours — or the credit back.
Will my track get added?
Maybe. Nobody can promise otherwise, and anybody who does is selling something that puts your catalogue at risk. You are buying the listen.
How do I know they listened?
The verdict buttons stay locked until the track has been playing for 60 seconds, and the review cannot be under 20 words. It is an honest-path check rather than a lock — but the fee does not change with the verdict, so there is nothing to gain by rushing except a worse playlist.
Can I pitch the same track to the same curator twice?
Not while the first pitch is live. If it expires unanswered you can.
What happens after an add?
The add and the review stay in your history, and the curator is paid the same as they would be for a pass. We do not watch the playlist afterwards to tell you if the track comes off — see the next answer, because most of this industry promises that.
What if nobody curates my genre yet?
Hold the track in the queue and it goes out the moment a curator in that genre is approved. The credit is set aside rather than spent — nothing has been bought, nobody is owed a fee, and no 72-hour clock runs until a real curator has it. You can take the track back out whenever you like and the credit returns the same second. If nobody joins within 90 days we give the credit back and tell you, because "we are still looking" stops being true at some point.
Do you track placements afterwards?
No, and we would rather say so than imply it. Watching a playlist means reading it through Spotify’s API, and Spotify caps a newly registered app at five connected accounts — extended access is restricted to registered businesses with at least 250,000 monthly users. There is no honest way for a site this size to promise drop alerts on every playlist, so we do not. When that changes, this answer changes with it.
Can I export my feedback?
Yes — the whole history as a CSV, from your dashboard.
For curators
Does it cost anything?
No. Curating is free and always will be, and you are the one being paid.
Is there a follower minimum for playlists?
Not yet — while we are starting out, a small real list is welcome. As the network grows, the follower minimum for new playlists will rise. The first stage, with no minimum, ends on December 31, 2026. After that the floor steps up to 100, then 500, then 1,000 followers, with notice before each step. Playlists already approved keep their place.
Am I paid more for adding a track?
No. $0.50 per credit either way. That is the whole idea.
Do I have to add anything?
Never. Your playlist is yours; we have no way to put anything on it and never will.
When do I get paid?
You ask once you are over $20.00. Below that the transfer costs more than the fee.
Why was my playlist turned down?
The reason is on the application. Usually it is followers that grew faster than the listening did, which is what a bought playlist looks like from the outside.
