The Crate: your records, your wantlist and your releases 📦
Everyone on KoalaQueue gets a crate: what you own, what you are hunting, and what you have made — vinyl, tape, CD or digital — plus a public page and a feed of the artists you follow.
- Collection & wantlist
- Covers from links
- Follow artists
A pitch lasts 72 hours. The relationship between an artist and the people who like their music should last longer. That is what the Crate is for.
Three shelves
- Releases — what you have made.
- Collection — what you own.
- Wantlist — what you are hunting.
Open your crate and add a record with a title, artist, year and format — vinyl, cassette, CD or digital — and a short note. Paste a Spotify, Bandcamp, Discogs, Apple Music, YouTube or SoundCloud link and we fetch the cover art for you; without one, the record gets a plain sleeve with its initials. Each shelf holds up to 500 records, and you can filter by format and sort.
Your public crate
Your crate lives at its own address, /u/your-name. A curator weighing your pitch can see your releases and what you listen to; a fan can follow you from there.
Following, and the feed
Follow anyone from their crate page. Your feed then shows the new releases they add and the tracks curators add to playlists for them, from the last few months.
Who it is for
Artists and curators, and listeners too — you do not need to pitch or curate to keep a crate. Make a free account and start digging.
The honest limits
Covers come from a fixed list of music sites, and a slow or odd answer just means a plain sleeve. The Crate is a list you keep, not a store or a streaming service: links go out to wherever the music lives.
