Not ready to pitch yet? Koala’s pouch and the waiting queue 👝
Park the right curators until you have the credits or the release date, or hold a track for a genre with no curator yet — set aside, not spent, and back after 90 days if nobody joins.
- Park curators
- Held up to 90 days
- Held, not spent
Two features for the moments when sending a pitch right now is not the right move.
Koala's pouch
Found the right curators but run out of credits, or the track is not out yet? Pick them in Pitch a track and press Park these for later. They wait in Koala's pouch on your dashboard, with the track link if you had typed one.
The pouch is just a list. Nothing is spent or held, and no clock runs. When you are ready, pitch from it and the ordinary pitch happens, with every usual check. It holds up to 50 curators; if a playlist leaves KoalaQueue in the meantime, it simply drops out.
The waiting queue
We are new, and some genres have nobody in them yet. If yours is one, scroll to No curator in your genre yet?, paste the Spotify track link and pick the genre. The moment a curator in that genre is approved, your track goes to them as a normal pitch.
What keeps that honest:
- The credit is held, not spent. Holding a track sets aside 1 credit, and it shows in your ledger as a hold.
- No clock runs while it waits. The 72-hour deadline starts when a real curator has it.
- The real price is settled at the match. A pitch is priced by the curator's reach, so if the matched playlist costs more than the hold, the difference is spent then — and if you cannot cover it, the track keeps waiting rather than overdrawing you.
- You can take it out whenever you like, and the credit returns straight away.
- It does not wait forever. After 90 days with nobody, the credit comes back and we tell you.
The page also says how many curators are in each genre right now. On a new site that is often none, and we would rather say so.
